Dear Friend,
It is the eleventh hour and I need your help! We must insist that mankind stop transmitting manmade radiant energy between the frequencies of 50 to 70 gigahertz used in the Wireless Telecommunications Industry as part of the Agreement on Climate Change coming out of Copenhagen! Oxygen Atoms resonate between the frequencies of 54 to 66 gigahertz and resonating Oxygen Atoms help make Carbon 14 Dioxide in the Atmosphere. It will not matter how much more Carbon Emissions you agree to cut over the next 50 years, it will have little effect on Global Warming if this one thing is not part of the agreement!
Sincerely,
John R. Staples
Canada
I strongly recommend you include Joe Romm's "Climate Progress" (http://climateprogress.org/) in your blog list. Joe is doing outstanding investigative work on climate scenarios, energy alternatives, and their economic impact.
"Arms into Earth Assets" Here are the numbers: according to SIPRI, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, global military spending reached $1.4 trillion. 20% is $ 280 billion and 50% is $ 700 billion, a now familiar number! How would the world's plan for a green infrastructure be impacted by such investments? A variation to the 20-50% plan could be a moratorium on new spending for a period of sufficient duration to turn around the rising levels of CO2 emissions, back to 350 ppm, say. The challenge of implementing such an "Arms into Earth Assets" plan is obviously in the details and the diplomatic stratagems required.
