WWF International is active in many fields related to climate change, and the main programs of the WWF International are: Climate Change, Forests, Freshwater, Marine, Species, and Sustainability. The ultimate goal of the organization is to "build a future where people live in harmony with nature," a mission that WWF International seeks to fulfill by providing funding and expertise for projects around the globe. WWF International recognizes global warming as one of the greatest threats to all nature, and many of the their activities therefore naturally evolve around the issue of climate change.
Working method
WWF International works with local communities, government agencies, partner NGOs, aid agencies, and key businesses to implement the different programs that WWF International develops by itself or in collaboration with partners. WWF International then takes on a variety of efforts to develop environmental action capacity, to build public support, and to provide leadership to the various programs included in its work.
