Greenpeace

Greenpeace is an international non-governmental organization for the protection and conservation of the environment (visit website). Greenpeace utilizes nonviolent activism, lobbying and research to achieve its goals. Greenpeace has a worldwide presence with national and regional offices in over 40 countries, which are affiliated to the Amsterdam-based Greenpeace International. The global organization receives its income through the individual contributions of an estimated 3 million financial supporters.

Greenpeace has started the “Stop Climate Change”campaign. According to the website, Greenpeace works to mobilize members and other interested to take part in an energy revolution. The goal is “To go from a world powered by nuclear and fossil fuels to one running on renewable energy. Firstly we need to start by quitting coal - the worst climate offender.”
