CAN - Climate Action Network
Climate Action Network International
The Climate Action Network (CAN) is a worldwide network of approximately 365 Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working to promote government and individual action to limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels. To achieve this goal, the CAN is formed to facilitate and coordinate its international, regional and national members' exchange of information and strategies on climate issues. CAN has seven regional offices which co-ordinate these efforts in Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Europe, Latin America, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Among the national member organizations are parts of the WWF and Greenpeace networks as well as more specialized environmental NGO's.
Working method
The CAN network is not an independent organization but relies on the individual members for action. CAN is a means of coordinating the effort.

I run an NGO in Nigeria that is involved in climate change mitigation advocacy and sensitization.I would like to register with the Climate Action Network and any other International NGO involved in climate change mitigation so as to build capacity for better performance.
We are presently involved in a campaign to convince the Nigeria Government to sign the Copenhagen Accord (COP15). Our discussion is published in the discussion segment of the citris climate navigator of the copenhagen climate council.
