CERES (pronounced "series") is a Boston-based American network of investors, environmental organizations and other public interest groups working with companies and investors to address sustainability challenges such as global climate change.
Working Method
The stated mission of CERES is to encourage companies and capital markets to incorporate a ten-point code of corporate sustainable conduct into their ethical guidelines. According to CERES, the ten-point principles, which contain obligations to protect the environment, conserve energy, reduce risks, and to report the measures taken, have so far been adopted by approximately 50 companies.
