Rob Morrison

Rob Morrison is the Chairman of CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets, an award-winning brokerage, investment banking and private equity group.
Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Hong Kong, CLSA operates in 15 markets, 11 of which are in Asia. CLSA was the first foreign investment bank to be granted a domestic joint venture investment banking licence in China.
In a 2007 Asiamoney poll, CLSA was ranked as the No.1 broking firm for Asia (ex Australia and Japan).
Mr. Morrison joined CLSA in January 2000 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of CLSA Limited in 2002. In 2006, Mr. Morrison became the Chairman of CLSA.
Prior to joining CLSA, Mr. Morrison was an Executive Vice President and Head of Equities at Bankers Trust Australia and Chief Executive Officer of Bankers Trust New Zealand.
He is an Advisory Professor at Nankai University in Tianjin, China, and a member of the Asian Advisory Board of The Nature Conservancy, the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.
He is also a founding member of the Copenhagen Climate Council, a global collaboration between business leaders, scientists, and policy-makers working together for a successful new treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol.
