Lise Kingo

Executive Vice President and Chieff of Staffs, Novo Nordisk


For almost two decades Lise Kingo has been leading Novo Nordisk's approach to sustainable development, which is today anchored at its core objectives as the Triple Bottom Line business principle. She joined the executive mangement of Novo Nordisk in 2002. Novo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and is a world leader in diabetes care. With headquarters in Denmark, Novo Nordisk's business has global reach; the company has more than 26,000 people in 80 countries, and markets its products in 179 countries. Over the years, Novo Nordisk has earned international recognition as a sustainability-driven business leader.

Lise Kingo is born in 1961. Executive Vice President and Chief of Staffs, Novo Nordisk A/S. 

Lise Kingo joined Novo Nordisk’s Enzymes Promotion in 1988 and worked over the years to build up the company’s Triple Bottom Line approach. In 1999 Ms Kingo was appointed corporate vice president, Stakeholder Relations. She was appointed executive vice president, Corporate Relations in March 2002.  

Lise Kingo is a member of the Board of GN Store Nord A/S and associate professor at the Medical Faculty, Innovation and Sustainability, Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. Lise Kingo holds a BA in Religions and Ancient Greek Art (1986, University of Aarhus, Denmark), a BCom in Marketing Economics (1991, the Copenhagen Business School) and an MSc (Responsibility and Business Practice) from the University of Bath, United Kingdom (2000).
