Carsten Bjerg was born 1959 and is CEO and Group President of Grundfos. He holds an MSc in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and an ACPMM from Cambridge University, U.K.
Carsten Bjerg joined Grundfos 10 years ago (1997) as Director for International Production. In 2000 he became member of Group Management and was appointed Group Executive Vice President for Production and Logistics, and in addition to this he took over the responsibility for Research & Technology, eBusiness and Quality Management. During this period he has made an outstanding contribution to the Grundfos Group's continued growth.
March 2007 he was appointed CEO and Group President. Carsten is chairman or member of the Board in several of the Grundfos companies, and chairman of the board in "DHI Water & Environment".

Today, Grundfos is the world's largest manufacturer of circulator pumps, covering approximately 50 per cent of the world market for these pumps.
In addition to pumps and pump systems, Grundfos wish to venture into new fields and are now developing a number of new business areas which may hold important business potential and at the same time contribute to relieving some of the world's most urgent needs within water, water purification, and energy efficient solutions.
With more than 15,000 employees, the Group is represented all over the world through own sales companies in 41 countries and own production companies in 12 countries.
